Woefully lacking....

but only in the amount of material!!! This truly outstanding collection of many of Bud Grace's efforts from the first year of Ernie is so frustrating I could hardly stand it. Why in the wide, wide world of sports every single strip from the first year isn't included boggles my mind. This strip hits the ground running from the very first page to the very last. There are landmines as you read along, some of which caused me to expel various and sundry substances from my nose in a very forceful manner. This is a must for every fan of Ernie, Uncle Sid, and the rest of the wackos rendered so alive and believeable by Grace's outstanding skill with pen and ink. The only downside is the absence of every one of Grace's strips from his first year. If any strip deserved to have a complete collection of every one of it's strips then it's this one. Piranha Club forever!!!
