Very good

I love Doug Jacoby's writing style. He gives a small yet pithy introduction to christian apologetics. As a member of his church I try not to have my biases. I'm a very lenient critic. I have a tendency to be open to many views and understandings. I try not to be too critical. Maybe I should be! I always take sides with the theists. Why? The reason is because theists make sense and give up their lives for something they don't see. On the other hand, atheists tend to be selfish in their thinking. They are renderless in producing any worthy morality. I don't mean they are immoral or stupid. Of course not! However, I find their arguments flawed. I'm not going to explain why. There are many books that can do that. Nonetheless, atheism is powerless to change lives. I'm sure they can free people from senseless dogmas. I have no problem with that. However, in the end it is useless. I don't see how atheism can improve my life. In fact, it can't. The atheist mind set is only this life. Moreover, what is the purpose of living a life full of suffering and hurdles when in the end it comes to nothing but infine nothingness? Yet, with God my life is full of meaning in this world and in the world to come. I believe everything will come to an end. So why do we toil in something which will inevitably come to a stop? I really can't emphasize that any more. You can take my words as rubbish, however, the burden of proof rests on you. Other than that it's all relativity. I believe one should make their own case for their existence. I believe the truth is there. All you got to do is go after it and find it. I don't feel like rambling on about my convictions. Go out there and come with your conclusions. In the end, you will see whether you chose the right path. You decide...

Great Book on Christian Evidences

Dr. Jacoby writes a short and very useful book on Christian evidences. He does a great job of presenting Christian truths from Scripture with good illustrations and very practical implications of atheism. The book helps believers see the evidence for God, evidence for Jesus, and evidence for the Bible. Dr. Jacoby is a great Bible teacher and he writes in very simplistic terms unlike some other apologetics works. The average reader can easily read this book and clearly understand the ideas that Jacoby teaches. A great book, a short book, and offers clear evidences for the Christian faith.

A Phenomenal Apologetic Work

Douglas Jacoby has a writing style that possesses both intelligence and finesse. This is a great book for those looking to answer lingering questions about the bible and it's reliability, or just strengthen their own faith. I'm a big fan of Doug's work... This is an excellent read for any level of reader.
