Translation History Studies is an academic journal planned and launched by the Centre for Translation Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, focusing on specialized research in the history of translation in China. It is the world's first professional journal dedicated to the field of Chinese translation history. Since its inaugural issue in 2011, eight volumes have been published consecutively, exerting significant influence in the academic community. Beginning in 2025, the journal resumes publication in collaboration with Oriental Publishing Center, continuing its rigorous academic traditions while strengthening its academic committee and editorial team to jointly advance research on the history of translation in China. This volume includes a total of 12 papers, covering topics such as Chinese kundoku (vernacular reading) and knowledge translation, the national letters of the 18th-century Portuguese embassy to China, translation management during times of crisis in the Qing dynasty, the dissemination of Robert Morrison's dictionaries in Japan, Samuel Wells Williams's translation of qilin (the mythical unicorn), the translation of Lin Zexu's foreign correspondence, an analysis of the "polarity" in Yan Fu's thought, the cross-cultural translation of Bismarck's biographies, the translation activities of Xi Ruo, a translator during the late Qing and early Republican periods, Wang Guowei and his translation of "Erwin Rohde's Essay," the transnational literary translation of Florence Kwock (Kuang Rusi), and early British sinological research on William Manning. Together, these papers present the diverse dimensions and latest achievements of contemporary research on the history of translation in China. 《翻译史研究》为香港中文大学翻译研究中心策划推出的学术期刊，专注中国翻译史的专题研究，是全球首种以中国翻译史为核心领域的专业刊物。自2011年创刊以来，连续出版八辑，在学界产生重要影响。本刊自2025年起复刊，由东方出版中心合作出版，延续严谨的学术传统，同时强化学术委员会与编辑团队建设，协力推动中国翻译史研究。 本辑共收录12篇论文，议题涵盖汉文训读与知识转译、18世纪葡萄牙遣华使团国书、清朝在危机时期的翻译管理、马礼逊辞书在日本的传播、卫三畏对麒麟的翻译、林则徐涉外文书的翻译、严复思想的"两极性"分析、俾斯麦传记的跨文化译介、清末民初译者奚若的译事活动、王国维与"译阿文格随笔"、邝如丝的跨国文学翻译，以及围绕万宁的早期英国汉学研究等，呈现当代中国翻译史研究的多元面向与最新成果。
