Mic check, one two, one two. The ghouls are back!

Taking place roughly two years after Tokyo Ghoul, the Commission of Counter Ghoul took their horrid ways a step further by making artificial ghouls, called Quinxes (or Qs,) by taking a ghoul's kagune--the ghoul organ of predation--and transplanting it into a human, giving them ghoul power. Leading the first generation of Qs is Haise Sasaki, (a very familiar face.) He's tasked with teaching the Qs their ghoul abilities and how to be proper investigators, while also dealing with his own mysterious past and a voice inside his head. Most first volumes are set up for the series, but this volume jumps right into the action! It was fun getting to meet all of the new characters, especially the Qs, and see a bit of their abilities. We also see more of the daily lives of ghoul investigators (doves) and their way of doing things off the battlefield, which was interesting and a little enlightening to see a non-murderous side of the doves. It was also great to see a few characters from the past series and know what they're doing now too. The art has evolved, and yet somehow stayed the same. Beautifully bold and sleekly sketched, you have a little bit of everything art-wise in this book. I can't wait to read on and see how the Qs investigate their Torso and Nutcracker cases. This is gonna be a wild ride.

Amazing

Another great series in the Tokyo ghoul world. I think this series has a bit of a slower start but it’s definitely worth reading.
