The church at Corinth was messy. There were divisions among the members, false teachers among them who questioned the authority of Paul, the pursuit of worldly passions and immorality, a complete lack of discernment, and a selfish attitude that was not becoming of brothers and sisters in Christ. In other words, this was a typical church.

One of my favorite things about Paul's letters to Corinth is the patience and love he has for them despite the fact that they were so easily ready to turn against him. I hope your journey through this study will renew your love for Christ and His bride, the church.
