This book follows the life of Rue, an actress, who only found the answers to life and happiness on "The Day She Was Going to Die". Though she was wealthy and surrounded by thousands of adoring fans, Rue felt isolated, depressed and totally alone, unable to allow herself to get close to anyone, even her children or herself. She lived her life in fear, afraid of being emotionally hurt by revealing her true self to the world. She therefore had many affairs, partied, drank alcohol, took drugs and wasted her life seeking superficial pleasures in the world around her, while ignoring those who cared for her. This spiritual novel follows the two Choices in Life we each may take. One choice follows the "Learned Path" and comprises everything we are taught after we are born; this path is chosen out of fear and leads to struggle, unhappiness and depression and is the path that Rue and most others follow throughout their lives. The other choice is the "Spiritual Path". This is the path we are meant to pursue and is chosen out of love; it leads to inner peace and a true understanding of the "Meaning of Life". For Rue, as it is for all others, it wasn't until the last day of her life, when we all review how our life was led, that she finally understood and realized that she had chosen the wrong path through life. It was on this day, when the loud distractions from the world are silenced, that Rue finally understood the reason she was alive; and with this understanding, she no longer was afraid. On this day, embracing love instead of fear, she not only made peace with her children and family, but, for the first time in her life, with herself as well.
