A modern classic dystopian!

Life in prison is a fate worse than death when prisoners can be hunted for sport. But when Raven’s brother is taken to the infamous Endlock Prison, the same place where her parents died, she has no choice but to follow him there, her only chance to save him from the same fate. I think this book is best enjoyed by diving in two feet first, and you should probably do so in 2026. It would be too easy to simply compare this story to other great dystopian works that marked my teenage years, but To Cage a Wild Bird earns its place amongst them. This is the first in a series, but the intensity of the story is reminiscent of Catching Fire, my favorite dystopian book of all time. If you love a modern romantic fantasy and are still chasing the high of reading The Hunger Games for the first time, this book is for you.
