York and her "43 Light St." series score another hit

This Intrique features Jed Prentiss and Marissa Devereaux, two very different people with very different ideas on what they want from each other, but when Marissa is taken by extremists on a caribbean island, she will find that her only hope is Jed Prentiss and perhaps they and their ideas aren't so different after all! Marissa, a travel agent who does some undercover work for the State Department is caught in the act and automatically carted off to prison and further on to the firing range when who would you guess shows up to save her from death? Jed Prentiss ofcourse! The man she has tried very hard to keep at arms length, but when saving her from immediate death, she is more then willing to stay close to him and trust him to save her from the villian Sanchez. Jed Prentiss wasn't so sure he could pull off the scheme devised by Marci's friends to save her from Sanchez's cluthes, but he's her only hope and even though he would like to pretend its only because he's being paid to rescue Marci, he has to admit to himself that without being paid, he would rush straight infront of a firing squad to save her! And incidentially, he does! As Jed rushes in to save Marci, he plays the ruse that Marci's friends came up with Jed as her fiance'. Marci is thrown off guard when Jed shows up annoucing to release his fiance' and the only way they will let Marci go is if she and Jed get married right away to prove they can be trusted. Marci doesn't know if she can pull off a false marriage to a man she has tried hard to keep at arms lengths because of her fear of men intimately. Jed has his own baggage to bring into the picture and together, they conquer each other's fears and work together to escape, alive! This story is full suspense and high-strung excitement. York delivers yet another original work that is worth every minute spent reading it!
