Hort is a hoot!

Just in time for National Poetry Month comes a zany collection of truly "mixed up poems" indeed. Hort's cleverly twisted text and Kroninger's bright mismatched collages are the perfect combination in a world of mermaids with pants as well as napkins to sit on. There's something delightfully silly about imagining furry goldfish and a holiday when the groundhog slides down the chimney-anything goes! Although I found the meter off in several of the poems, and couldn't understand why "Lullaby" wasn't the obvious choice for the finale, all in all, TIE YOUR SOCKS AND CLAP YOUR FEET was just plain fun.
