Through the Flames of Desire

By Brit Leigh

Lexi Martin has always secretly, not so secretly, been in love with her older brother's best friend. The problem, she's eleven years younger and there is no way he will ever want her. After her brother's death, Lexi's mom moves her away and Lexi is met with one trial after another. Six years later she's homeless, jobless, and desperate for the help of the man that holds her heart.

Washington Spencer has it all. Wealth, a great career as a firefighter, and a group of friends he can count on for anything. There's just one thing missing, love. After a failed engagement two years ago, Wash is eager to move on and find the girl that fits his every desire. Wash never imagined that girl would crash back into his life and be his dead best friend's sister begging for his help.

Lexi and Wash try to deny the burning desire between them, but when the fires of their desire catch up to them nothing is ever the same again. When Wash moves to fire investigation and catches a case that starts to feel personal, things start to spin out of control. His friends think he's having a mid life crisis for dating a younger girl, an arsonist is on the loose, and Lexi is doing her best to get her life on track, except the arsonist is throwing monkey wrenches in her plans. Can their new found love survive trial by fire or will it be burnt to ash?
