One Day at a Time

In Dover, Delaware, Kayla, a divorcee and mother of two, is trying to remain strong and keep men out of her and her girls' lives in hopes that she and her teenaged daughters, Kaitlyn and Kamry, can remain focused. An undeniable spark between Marley, the guy THREE DOORS DOWN, and Kayla turns into a full blown plot with the girls assisting Marley in hopes of gaining a social life themselves. Is Kayla ready to throw in the towel? Or is there still too much pain from her past? THREE DOORS DOWN is a great book. I especially liked that the story deals with a mother and daughters. Loving Thy Neighbor

What a DELIGHTFUL romantic treat! Although I have a few of Michele Sudler's novels, this is the FIRST one I've actually read. I was CAPTIVATED from the first page. Ms. Sudler tackles several issues confronting women of all ages with regards to the dating scene. I enjoyed the matchmaking schemes of Kayla's best friend, Wanda and her two lovable teenage daughters. Ms. Sudler weaves a touching, humorous, and SPICY read. I found all the characters engaging and MEMORABLE. The few sexy encounters between Kayla and Marley are definitely HOT, HOT, HOT (my husband definitely needs to get a motorcycle)...LOL. I found the ending REFRESHING and believable. And I look forward to reading more about the Jarnette family and their circle of friends. Well done, Ms. Sudler!

I thought this was an interracial book.....?

....however, it was a wonderful read. I loved Marley and Kayla together. This book was worth it, although I was a little disappointed that the characters were not interracial based on the book cover. S.B. Baltimore

(RAW Rating 4.5) I'll Be There

Kayla is a divorcee living in Dover, Delaware with two teenage daughters, Kaitlyn and Kamry, who together have sworn off men and boys in an effort to get their lives back on track. But, is the sworn pact a true testament to their needs, or is it a selfish ploy by Kayla because of the hurt felt by the failure of her marriage? THREE DOORS DOWN by Michele Sudler showcases the lives of these three women and a man, Marley, who lives three doors down. For months Marley has watched and pined after Kayla. A chance introduction leads to seduction which leads to a relationship, or so it seems. Seeing the sparks fly between their mother and Marley leads the girls to set up a date for the two. Marley is a member of a motorcycle club and he asks Kayla to accompany him to their chapter's annual picnic. The girls are hyped because maybe, just maybe, their mother will ease up and allow them to spend time with their friends, go to parties and possibly date. Kayla's girls are as different as night and day, one is prissy and selfish, while the other is a tomboy and very athletic. However, neither girl can spread their wings because their mother is overbearing and overprotective. Michele Sudler's story is very enlightening and her characterizations are realistic. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the antics of the girls and the secondary characters as they plot to set their mother up. The addition of Marley's brothers, friends and co-workers add spice to the storyline and assist with the understanding of the main characters' psyche and experiences. It was truly a treat to watch their involvement. Her take on family and the imagery she displays for all of the characters is on point, this includes the sex scenes which are detailed and tantalizing. Michele Sudler's romance, THREE DOORS DOWN, hits the mark on single parenting, teenage relationships, healthy self-esteem and a host of issues as it relates to family values and character. With the addition of a lot of humor, this is an excellent romantic read. Also, I do see another story on the horizon; Marley's brother, the infamous Nester, definitely has a story to tell. three doors down...

I absolutely enjoyed this book. Love the twist of getting the children involved in the making of a love story between their mom and the man three doors down and well as the motorcycle scene between the main characters. Will be waiting for a story on Nester and Cindy. Worth the 6.99.
