Back cover review When young James Brizwell squire to Richard Earl of Wayfair died in a jousting accident, his grieving sister swore vengeance on Richard blaming for the death of her father and her bethrothed aswell as her brother. She contemptously spurns Richard's attempt to make retribution, choosing instead to seek wardship under King Edward. The king's solution to Ranna's problem was to find her a strong husband, one who would tame her volatile temperament and subdue her arrogant pride. To Ranna's dismay;the husband selected for her was none other Richard himself.Wed to her enemy against her will, hatred warred with desire in her heart, until the blissful moment when passion overcame them both... This was actually a pretty good story my concern was that the heroine was going to continue hating the hero for much of the story but that didn't happen. She acted childish for the first few weeks of their marriage but then they resolved their differences and started getting to know each other. At this point in the story fate throws an obstacle in their path in the form of a really long separation which I thought was too long, but the author kept my interest throughout the story.Their reunion was pretty good too as it wasn't done in typical fashion. A minus is there was not alot of interaction between hero and heroine as they were separated for along time right after they discovered their love for each other. As a reader I experienced their love for each other through their memories of each other.
