Julie's book is a powerful memoir of a horrific crime, its effect on her and her faith in God, and the healing power of forgiveness. It also can be a useful tool for those in law enforcement, because she describes in detail how her case was handled from the very start: what was helpful and what was disappointing in the hours, days and months afterward. This book would be very helpful and informative for future police officers and for anyone who has experienced trauma in his or her life.
