Another great romantic tale

Cindy Miles has written another great paranormal romance. Here's a one sentence summary: A family of sisters is helping Christian reunite with his true love. It's the typical, wonderful romance I expect from Ms. Miles; funny, heartwarming, and believeable (in a paranormal sort of way). It's the type of story you wish you were living. What I especially liked about the story was that characters from Ms. Miles other romances make appearances. I believe her only other book do that was MacGowan's Ghost. If you're reading this Ms. Miles, thanks again and keep on writing.

Excellent - Amazing story

I always pre-order all Cindy Miles book because they are amazing everytime -- and this one was excellent. Cindy Miles book always have a ghost theme and in this novel Christian a Welsh Crusader falls in love with Emma back in middle ages. Emma does a spell incorrectly and Christian is forced in stay on earth as a ghost to have Emma return ever 70+ years only for her die and Christian heart breaks everytime. Now in modern time, Emma finds herself on holiday and falling in love with a Ghost - and experiencing flashes of her past... This novel has characters from her past novels, romance, adventure, witches, ghosts and bring a box of tissues because it's THAT good! Looking forward to her next novel A Highlander Christmas due out Nov 2009 Anthology. Here are a few of my favorite novels of this genre; What Would Jane Austen Do?, Spirited Away (the 1st genre by this author) , Hundreds of Years to Reform a Rake and The Wedding Ghost (Zebra Regency Romance).

terrific reincarnation romance

Eight centuries ago, Christian of Arrick by the Sea and Emma fell madly in love. However a spell was muddled leaving him a ghost and her dead. She is reincarnated every seventy-two years only to die almost as soon as she finds her true love. Christian has new hope after numerous failures. The three Ballaster white witch sisters have taken up the cursed lovers' cause hoping to find a way to end the misfortune. Twelve times so far they have come together only each time has ended tragically. The spell is dangerous and failure means no more future hopes. This is a terrific reincarnation romance starring two likable protagonists whom the audience will root for making it this time. Added to the excitement of a strong urban romantic fantasy are the tie-ins to the Miles pantheon as characters from MACGOWAN'S GHOST, SPIRITED AWAY, INTO THIN AIR, and HIGHLAND KNIGHT are linked in some way to the hero; though this is clearly a stand alone. The witches have one chance to mate the souls while the cursed couple has one last chance for their souls to mate as the bond of love so far has proven futile; this is extreme pressure. Seriously Sexy Ghost Story!!!

Title: Thirteen Chances Author: Cindy Miles [...] Yay!!! I've been dying to find out Christian de Gaultiers of Arrick-by-the-Sea's story ever since Cindy Miles introduced him to us in her previous books Into Thin Air and MacGowan's Ghost. Talk about a tantalizing and mysterious ghost story. Then when she described our hunky ghost as a Brendan Frasier look-alike, I was all over him (woops, I mean "it"). A love story to span the ages! Soul mates, Christian and Emma have loved and lost each other twelve times thus far. After a botched spell leaves Christian a ghost and Emma being reborn every 72 years only to die just as she remembers her lost love, fate brings them to the Ballaster sisters. White witches assigned the task of righting a wrong; the four sisters set into motion their own spell to reunite the lovers. But this spell is the final chance for Christian and Emma. If it fails, then the two souls will be lost forever. Thirteen Chances is seriously sexy. Cindy Miles created a sexual tension like no other. I was whole heartedly rooting for this couple and could honestly "feel" the ghostly kisses and touches through Ms. Miles words. This is an amazing book and a reunion story on top of that, making it double good. I LOVE seeing how my favorite characters are progressing and Ms. Miles does not disappoint. Thirteen Chances is her best story yet (and with her other books at the top of my favorite's list, that's really saying something). Ms. Miles has a knack for bringing the paranormal world to life and finding just the right love for them, proving it's definitely good to be a ghost. Eternal vow of romance could be a curse if you are not careful.

Christian is a fierce Welsh Crusader who, with his last breath, vowed that he would forever await his Intended's love. His spirit has been earthbound ever since. Emma, upon Christian's departure for the Crusades, performed an ancient spell to keep him safe; however, Emma made a mistake and it backfired. Due to this, every seventy-two years Emma's reincarnated soul returns to Arrick-by-the-Sea. She never knows why she is drawn to the place and she never recognizes her true love. Every time Emma returns, Christian has to make her fall in love with him. And every time, no matter how any of the white witches try, Emma dies, leaving Christian heartbroken and devastated. After eleven failures, the four Ballaster sisters are given the mission to reunite the lovers. Everything is checked thoroughly. Everything goes exactly as planned. Yet the fail and Emma dies for the twelfth time. It is decided that very desperate measures are called for. They have seventy-two years to get everything ready for a thirteenth try. But this time they are using an all-or-nothing type of spell. This time either Christian and Emma will finally be united or it will be over - forever. Flash forward to our present time period. Emma Calhoun is a professional photographer in Savannah, Georgia. For months she has yearned for something unknown. Upon spying pictures on the internet of Arrick-by-the-Sea in Wales, Emma knows she simply MUST go visit. She takes the entire month of October off and makes reservations to stay at the Ballaster House B & B. Emma has no idea that her eternal destiny awaits. ***** FIVE STARS! Oh my word. From the first page, until the last, this story grabbed me by the heart and refused to release me. The author blends magic, humor, and an eternal romance to create a story that will long linger in your thoughts. I would be interested in reading more tales of the Ballaster sisters' missions.
