Book Overview

Whether working through the daily disorders of home, school, or office, the Fox family manages to put its special spin on the rigors of the world. Setting the comic tone are mom Andy, whose heroic efforts to make tofu into the fifth food group are legend, and dad Roger, who is a human hazard on the golf course and a threat to the workings of all technologically driven devices. Filling out the cast are the younger Foxes: the eldest and football...

This Family is Definitely Fruity

Admit it. We all have one or more family members that resemble the characters in the FoxTrot comic strip. Whether it's the tofu cooking mom, the morning-coffee addicted dad, the hollow leg older son, the self-absorbed daughter, or the geeky younger son, every family can relate."Think iFruity" is a collection of daily and Sunday FoxTrot comic strips. It starts with the dad, Roger, buying a Mobycom-2000 cell phone (think Titanic), and ends with Peter being disappointed with his Physics Lab. In between, the family gets their new "iFruit" computer (mango-kiwi, thank you), Roger goes a day without coffee (not a pretty sight), Paige fills her aquarium before taking it upstairs, and Jason kills off the Internet (makes the "I Love You" virus look like the sniffles).

Fox Trots on

Great book! I've loved Fox Trot ever since The Boston Globe began running it years ago. I have just about every book, and can't get enough! It is one of the few comics that can make me laugh out loud -- and often!

Another fantastic Foxtrot collection!

These Foxtrot collections just keep getting better and better. Think Ifruity is easily one of the funniest yet. There are definitely some lame strips (you have to expect it) such as Jason's version of A Christmas Carol, but overall it's fanatastic! THis collection expertly makes fun of the current world (Jasonzonbayhoo) and all the Fox family characters are great. Roger, especially, has some great stories, such as when he buys a "Mobycom" cellular phone (I won't ruin it for you by telling you any more). In other words, hilarious! Great for reading in the office, while eating or even on the toilet.

A Hysterically-Hilarious Work!

This book is just excellent! I love FoxTrot, I guess, 'cause I see SO much of myself in Jason! (I'm a huge Star Wars fan and a computer whiz, too!) I loved the "Christmas Carol"- themed strips and I'm extra-appreciative of the "Phantom Menace"-themed cartoons, being as enthusiastic and, okay, somewhat obessive, as Jason and the other fans depicted. The only fault I find in this book is its revering of the iMac computer. As Jason says, "Some of us LIKE boring beige boxes with all sorts of fat cables tangled up in the back." Another notable series of cartoons in this book: "The Paige Witch Project". I laughed especially hard at these ones!

Another great foxtrot book by Bill Amend!

I must say that I am always entertained by every foxtrot collection that Amend puts out. Not only is this one of his best collections yet, but i couldn't help laughing out loud while reading it. If you love foxtrot, you will definetly enjoy this book. If you've never read foxtrot, this book will get you hooked on them!
