I bought this book at a First Place Conference after having the blessing of hearing Beth speak and share some of the works from Things Pondered. Beth has the gift of putting into words what many Moms and women feel in their hearts, but may be unable to express with words. A great book to encourage intimacy with our Heavenly Father.

The author's candidness is encouraging...we all struggle!

With all of the self-help books and motivational seminars, it's easy to feel inadequate in this life. It's almost as if, when you're facing illness or sadness or failure, YOU are to blame, because someone out there has a solution you should have seized. The reality of it is, we are not in control, despite what our egos think! And sometimes, we will face these struggles...inevitably! The key is to be anchored to Someone greater than yourself! I found Beth Moore's book refreshing and so funny. She is candid about what we face in life...the disappointments, the trials, the joy, the wonder of it all. And she makes no apologies for relying on Jesus Christ as her only sustanance. I would recommend this book especially to moms, adoptive parents, brides-to-be, and grandmothers needing a good laugh! A quick and thoroughly enjoyable read...
