Military sci-fi

Roland Green does a fine job of plotting with characters that raise far above the usual cookie cutting of this genre . This is #2 of a trilogy - he has a 7 parter that is either connected to these or could be . Also has Sci - Fantasy series with " Wandor's Ride " that charmed me years ago .
