Adorable!

What a cute book! A must-have for South-Louisianians young and old. I have this book on the nightstand in my guest room and I have gotten rave reviews from everyone who has seen it.

There Was an Ol' Cajun

I had the pleasure of having Debbie Kadair come to the Hahnville Branch of the St. Charles Parish Library today and read her book for our storytime. We had a group of 4-5 year olds from our local Head-Start school. The children and adults enjoyed the book very much. We also made paper bag puppets of the Cajun and the numerous things he swallowed so the children could go home and retell the story to their family. The illustrations are great. With the book as and example we were able to show the children that they could use mixed media to create pictures. I would highly recommend this book.
