super intersting!

I can open this book to any page and start reading up on a different interesting theory. The authors extensively describe the background of each theorist, and what their life and experiences were like, and how that could have influenced how they came to view the world the way they do. 23 major theories are discussed in depth, and philosophy is mixed in as well. Not another boring textbook by any means! If you're interested in learning what makes people the way they are, and want to learn about yourself along the way, you would enjoy this text.

Great Book, Easy to Read!

I actually liked this text. Each chapter is broken into bios of the theorists and elements of their practice. They also combine various theorists if they have something in common or worked together. I would definitely keep this text to use as a reference in future Psychology classes.

Intro. Psychology

this is a great introductory psych. book with tons of information well organized and very informative. Easy to understand and apply, with plenty of examples. Useful for any psych student!

Great intro to some important psychological theories

This is a great book. It covers many different theories on how personality works from different psychological perspectives. Each section helps the reader understand the different views of each theory of personality and how it functions within the mind. One comes away from this book understanding a little bit more about the hows and whys of personality. A great introduction to psychology in general for anybody ranging from student to non-student, specialist to non-specialist. I highly recommend it.
