Great for young ages!

I think this book is an effective tool in teaching youths about how to save their money safely. If I had read this book when I was younger, I would have started saving more. I don't know that I would have invested in stocks, or joined a mutual fund, but it would have taught me about what I could do. I think that most kids who read this book wont go out and buy stocks or bonds, but it's valuable for them to know what they are. One thing I do have a problem with is the title. The title contains the word zillionaire which isn't really a word at all. The book title would be just as effective with billionaire in the title instead. All in all, this book was a great read to teach young kids about investing and saving.

A Zillion Investment Tips for Kids!

The author's clear, crisp writing and rock-solid advice--for example, start now to plan your financial future, be thrifty and shun credit cards---make this slim volume a true winner. From showing teens how to calculate interest on their investments or pick a winning stock, the book is loaded with valuable information, but it's never dry. I love the jaunty text, the fun graphics and clever chapter titles. Pretty smart, too, on Green's part to illustrate the chapter. "Stock it to Me!" by adding a graph showing how MacDonald's stock grew over a 30-year-plus period. That should grab the kids' attention.I'm giving this book to the middle-schooler on my Christmas list, but not before I finish reading it. There's really good stuff here.
