This book I purchased again for nostalgia reasons, but picking it back up refreshed my memory on so many things. It’s one of those books that will always be a favorite and helped me greatly as to opening my eyes on anything outside of Christian viewpoints. This book marked my independence. And the ability to see something beyond what I thought I knew! Wonderful reference book!

Poorly researched racism

PLEASE DO NOT BUY!!!! So I recently bought this book off thriftybook thinking it would be a cute little thing to add to my collection. Nope think again not only does the author use racial slurs but can't even do her research on a entire people , who's history is easily available via Google . Which leads me to wonder if she did any research or simply pull random trash out of her a** . For those unaware the Romani people originated from northern India , the slur G*psy was created because the Europeans at the time decided because of skin tone we must be from Egypt ,that we are not has been common knowledge for some time long before this book was written. To be still spreading this propaganda and slur that was used to keep a entire people down and excuse the mistreatment of them is ridiculous in this day and age to think of some little witchlings who don't know to fact check and research for themselves yet taking this as some sort of gospel is sad and depressing . Misinformation can cous serious damage as the state of are global health will attest.

A reasonable beginner book

This is a reasonably good book for beginners. It sets down some basics such as runes and little snippets of info about brooms, athames, runes, planets, zodiac info, spirit animals, and the basic principles of spellcasting, etc. It's in a cute little encyclopedia format (alphabetical), which makes looking things up pretty easy. It doesn't go into as much depth as I would have expected, but as a pocket reference book, it's fairly decent. I break it out every time I need it for checking runes, because the information is quick, nicely summarized, and easy to find. If you're looking for something that is very in depth, this isn't the book for you. If you would like a handy reference for simple things, then this is an excellent little guide.

Despite the few bad reviews on this book, I actually quite like this book. I love that the book is like an encyclopedia of information. True, this book doesn't give any information on rituals and circlecasting before spells, but I think this book's purpose is that of a handbook. This book would be a good companion to a beginner's handbook, like Scott Cunningham's Wicca book.

I am a beginner in the craft and I found this book helpful in getting started. True there are many books that go into greater detail in certain areas but like someone already pointed out it is good to have on hand

This Book ROCKS!

"The Witch's Master Grimoire" by Lady Sabrina is a VERY good book for me, since I am a witch. Lady Sabrina tells the history of what is in the Grimoire, and fits in many good spells. The recipes are also good. I rate this book 5 stars, because it's the best Witchcraft book out there!
