Book Overview

A Personalized Workbook to Help You Deepen, Reflect On, and Apply Whole-Brain Principles.

Daniel J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson speak to audiences all over the world about their immensely popular best-sellers, The Whole-Brain Child and No-Drama Discipline. The message Dan and Tina continually receive from their audiences, whether live or virtual, is that people are hungry for the opportunity to take the Whole-Brain ideas and go deeper with them. Thanks to this new workbook, they now can.

The Whole-Brain Child Workbook has a unique, interactive approach that allows readers not only to think more deeply about how the ideas fit their own parenting approach, but also develop specific and practical ways to implement the concepts--and bring them to life for themselves and for their children.

Dozens of clear, practical and age-specific exercises and activities.

Applications for clinicians, parents, educators, grandparents and care-givers

Don’t Skip the Workbook

If you're going to read The Whole-Brain Child, I genuinely recommend getting the workbook as well. I chose to read the book first, then work through the workbook afterward (albeit slowly), and for me, that has been the perfect combination. The book gave me that understanding and framework, but the workbook is what has helped turn those ideas into practice. Yes, it's work! Not because it's poorly written or difficult to follow, but because growth takes effort. Parenting intentionally takes effort. Looking at your own patterns and actually practicing new approaches takes emotional and intellectual bandwidth. If you want to apply what you read in the book, this is an incredible value. I've already found it helping solidify concepts in a much more practical way, and I appreciate that I can move through it at my own pace. I've definitely taken the time to be thoughtful and slowed myself down a bit for the exercises to sink in. For me, this turned The Whole-Brain Child from a helpful parenting book into something I'm actively applying in my real life. Highly recommend!

Great add in with the book.

Reading/working on this at the same time with the book. Thought provoking, realistic questions and guidance/advice to put to use for the whole family. Really enjoying it.
