All of Hammond Innes' books have the same wonderful "Feels like you're reading a black & white movie from 1950" experience. Typically, its man at his best against nature and a harsh environment with a clock ticking against him on every page. Honestly if you're looking for some deeply stirring literature, go elsewhere, but if you're looking for some thoroughly enjoyable reading, look no further.
