A work of speculative fiction, The Weight of a Seed explores the relationship of one couple as they travel by foot through a post-apocalyptic American landscape and their interactions with the eclectic characters they encounter along the way.

Leaving the Rocky Mountains, walking through the Great Plains toward their goal of finding a particular commune hidden deep in the hills of Northern Arkansas, struggling for survival through summer, autumn and winter; they endure hardships, natural catastrophes, wild animals, pregnancy, and childbirth.

Their story is steeped in metaphor and foreshadowing and occasionally touches on the history of the land around them and brings forth some of the same reflections and questions that have always existed, even this many years after the collapse of modern society. Follow along, as this traveling pair is continually tested on their journey, by various urprises and life's persistent mysteries, only to discover, upon reaching their destination, that othing is as they expected and their lives are forever changed from the outcome of specific decisions made.
