Great summer read, if you want a laugh

4.75 I genuinely did not think id laugh that much in this book. It was the perfect amount of laughter, cringe, and thinking.

Weird Novrl

7/5/26 - 7/11/26 The Wedding People by Alison Espach I read this book as one of the Goodreads Community Challenges for July 2026. I found the book very weird. The author used the word weird quite often in the novel. While not a fan of reading about depression, unhappiness, suicide, death, domination of being led by what others think of you, etc., I felt it stuck to the theme of the novel throughout. Unfortunately through a tumultuous time in our society currently I found it a novel that was very hard to swallow and would have liked a different ending much more uplifting than the one it had. Not a fan of such droll writings.

A story with telling

I LOVE this book. I'm halfway through and came online to hopefully find similar ones. As a woman in his late 30s, this book makes me feel really good and hopeful. It's a book that makes me smile, and the differences between the characters is also really beautiful.

Phenomenal storytelling!

I truly loved this story and Phoebe. I cried at times, I laughed and when I reached the end, I immediately wanted to re-read it.
