The Way Up There

By F. S. Dias

Two paths can begin in the same place.

A public inspection takes Iris and other residents to the high trail through the Forest. Sounds, markings, and footprints stop agreeing, and two equally recognizable routes demand opposite decisions. With no neutral direction, the group must choose what to preserve; and who gets to say when it is time to turn back.

The Way Up There is Book 5 in Iris, an eight-novel contemporary fantasy series about perception, public care, and the cost of collective decisions.
