Larry Moon Jr. is a lifelong Washingtonian who works with various organizations that assist returning citizens.
As a youth he faced incarceration in juvenile facilities for drug distribution and auto theft. As an adult he faced incarceration at one of the world's most notorious prisons named Lorton Reformatory in Lorton VA which housed Washington DC's convicted offenders before closing its doors in 2001. His passion and resilience is fueled by his own experiences in the justice system and his ability to navigate through any barrier that could hinder him. Facing Substance abuse challenges, as well as character flaws but blessed with the willingness to succeed in life, Larry faced the war that lied within him to become a prominent figure in society. Looking adversity in the eye and finally saying the war is over Larry shifted his momentum and became a part of the solution rather than a part of the problem.
