Virgin PA and Ruthless Boss

Andrea Buttonfield has a serious problem. Not only was her father and fiancé recently killed in an automobile accident, she and her mother have been left penniless. Linus Harrison a millionaire has offered to purchase the family home but he wants something from Andrea, he wants her to be his personal assistance. In exchange, he'll allow her mother to live rent free at the gate house. She really has no choice, so she accepts his offer. Now a year later, Linus wants her to accompany him to Scotland to view a possible new venture. He's a rugby fan and also plans to attend a match and also stop by and see his aunt who he adores. As a young boy, his mother passed away and this woman raised him. For Andrea this is a problem because she's more away of him as a man. She's also aware he doesn't mix business with pleasure so she's concerned about taking the trip with Linus. The Virgin Secretary's Impossible Boss is the last book in the International Billionaire series, a series created by Mills and Boon and the 6 Nations Rugby League. This particular book takes place over a few short days, days filled with torment for Andrea and frustration for Linus. Carole Mortimer's development of both characters actually reminded me of Spencer Tracy and Kathryn Hepburn as they agreed to disagree. The sexual tension rolls off both of them as well as frustration. When they become snowbound and there is only one room and one bed, you can well imagine the mess it creates. Andi is so aware of Linus, it tortures her and when he kisses her it's torment for them both. Linus as a young man only concerned himself with one thing, becoming a success. He gained his success honestly and I believe because of his mother and aunt and their teachings. As for women, he chose them carefully; always making sure no one got hurt. Now since he's kissed Andi, he realizes all he wants is to get her in his bed. However, he also realizes he needs to get things back on an professional basis as boss and PA. His only mistake is when he blurts out that her fiancé was a shake! Andi learning the truth creates such an emotional mess, she leaves him and returns home to her mother to learn the truth. However, the truth jumps out at her when she realizes she loves Linus. She adores him for the man he's become, due to his hard work, guidance from the women who raised him and his honestly, unlike her fiancé. The Virgin Secretary's Impossible Boss was a fun and charming read and a spectacular ending to the wonderful International Billionaire series.
