The Valley of Confusion

Those who know don't know, and those who don't know don't know they don't know. The valley of confusion presents a society that is drowning in deep doctrinal errors. Those who embrace and teach religion are so ignorant that they lead the people into abandoning their ways but leave them empty because they cannot give them the hope their new teachings promise them. They result to lies and doctrinal heresies to keep the people under their yoke. They promise to lead them to the true God and when divisions arise among them, the people are left asking; who has the truth, and who is walking in error?
In the confusion, another group emerges that seeks to return the people to the traditions and customs they left when they embraced the new religion. They claim to be puritans who are the true custodians of the ways of the land. They condemn and threaten all those who refuse to go back to the pure way with dire consequences. However, it is clear that they too have no idea what their traditional culture entailed and their claims of research is just a quest to gain influence and control over the people.
Still, a third group emerges that wants to marry the traditional culture and religion. They want to serve the gods of the community, while at the same time pledging allegiance to the God of Christianity. They engage in rituals that make them sink deeper into doctrinal error and confusion reigns in the valley.
Essentially, the deep desire of man is exposed; the desire to be worshipped and have control over all the others become the whole essence of religion, politics and economics. Who will stand to tell people the truth and lead them to the true light?
