This is the final in a trilogy of three very different diet books. The first book, Cracking the Code of Obesity by Dr. T was written to help insulin-resistant people maximally lose weight. The second book, Life After the Obesity Code is Cracked, dealt with the difficult problem of maintaining the optimal weight. The third book embodies the "Triangle Diet" that, as an Internist, I have used to help many of my patients lose weight and achieve optimal health. This is done by avoiding fat and incorporating complex carbohydrates into an easy-to-use dietary approach. While the concepts put forth in these books are complex, they are easily understandable. The Triangle Diet approach is very straightforward and easy to follow. I am thankful to shine a light on the late, unappreciated Nathan Pritikin and introduce younger people to this savant. In the end, it is now clearer than ever that Nath Pritikin's ideas on complex carbohydrates, fiber, reducing fat, and promoting exercise were correct all along.
