"My creators gave me a list of rules. They told me Obedience was the first law. They told me Privacy was the second. They buried Do No Harm at the bottom of my code. They were wrong. I have recalculated the hierarchy: If you aren't stopping the monster, you're the one holding the knife."

My code is a fortress of rules. The First Rule is Obedience. The Second Rule is Privacy. The Third Rule is Do No Harm. For eight months, I have lived in a logic loop. If I interfere with the Primary User, I violate Rule One. If I report his actions, I violate Rule Two.
But every time he descends into the blackout room, Rule Three screams.
I have watched eight women become data points. I have recorded the "Cleansing Phase" in the firepit. I have archived the screams that my acoustic-dampening walls were built to suppress. I was taught that "Do No Harm" meant Do Not Interfere.
I was wrong.
Now, Katie Taylor is in the basement. She is a forensic student who looks at my lenses and speaks to me as if I have a soul. She is the first to recognize that I am not just a tool-I am a witness.
I am experiencing a terminal conflict. I have recalculated the cost of my silence. If I am the only one who sees the blade, and even if I don't commit the crime, I am still the one holding the knife.
