The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3

This was a second reading for me...I first read this book in the late 70's and it has stuck with me all these years as one of my top 10 books. I purchased it again so that I could read it once more before I saw the new movie with John Travolta. It has retained its edge-of-your-seat value!

Taking of Phelam One Two Three

This is a great book. It should be put back in print. I bought an original copy from 1973. Make sure to read this book before you see the new movie.

Not to be missed

I saw the movie on television several times when I was a kid and always enjoyed it. It's one of those classic 70s films that hollywood doesn't dare make. I found a hardcover copy a few years ago. Actually, I saved it from the trash heap. It's an easy read and gives insight into all the major characters. The best character of all is Ryder, the leader of the group. Dark, determined and nihilistic. Great character, great movie, great book!
