The Sugarcreek Surprise

I enjoyed the first book from Wanda E Brunstetter’s Creektown Discoveries, The Walnut Creek Wish. I was excited to have the opportunity to read the second installment, The Sugarcreek Surprise. It was great meeting up with Orley and Lois Troyer again. This time round they offer their help for Lisa and Paul. They are two broken souls who need to overcome tragic events. I thought Orley and Lois give some inspirational advice that is full of faith that so many of us could use in our own lives. The Sugarcreek Surprise is getting a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading clean Amish Romance. I will be eagerly waiting for the third book from the Creektown Discoveries, The Apple Creek Announcement. I can not wait to get my hands on it. I received a copy of The Sugarcreek Surprise from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Amish Romance

This is a Clean Amish Romance, and this is the second book in the Creektown Discoveries series. I have read and reviewed the first book in this series before picking this book up. The romance in this book moves so slow, but that is normal for an Amish Romance book. I did really love the characters in this book. The dog that shows up in this book is a great animal character, and that dog was one of mine favorite character in this book. I am so happy to get some of the characters from the first book in this book, but some of the parts with the first book's characters just felt awkward and just dropped in to put the characters in the book. Other then the weird parts with some of the first book's characters I loved this book. The story line was really good. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

5 Stars, A unique view of daily Amish living THE SUGARCREEK SURPRISE (CREEKTOWN DISCOVERIES SERIES, VOLUME 2) by Wanda E. Brunstetter This delightful inspirational novel has a little bit of everything in it. There is PTSD-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Romance, being thwarted at love, mentoring, children, family, pets, daily living in the Amish way of life, loss of parents and grandparents, matchmaking, health issues, church, singing, and prayer. All of which come together in the best way to make a great novel. The story revolves around Lisa Miller and Paul Herchberger as the main characters, but just as important are the behind-the-scenes mentors Orley and Lois Troyer, owners of the Memory Keepers Antique Store. They are central to the storyline in both books in this series. Orley likes to visit with his customers, mentoring anyone who needs help that he can give. Lois has a newspaper column called Dear Caroline, where she gives anonymous advice to people who write to her column. They both feel led to mentor and help out anyone who needs it. The author knows how to tug at your heartstrings to make you feel as though you are inside of her stories, living in the events with her characters. I highly recommend this novel.
