The purpose of this volume is to trace a timeline: from the glorious avant-gardes and Surrealism to the cultural impoverishment into which we have been descending since the year 2000.
Electronic media, television, the press, and social platforms bombard us with mediocre, commercial, and unaesthetic content. Masterpieces are no longer created. We consume intellectual nourishment stripped of value. We invite you to read and reflect. What legacy are we leaving to future generations?
