Heartwarming

To be honest The Strongest Cord was my very first Christian Romance. I must say it was very enjoyable. Lilly's story was heart-wrenching and Carl, the villian brother-out-law, gave it just the right amount of page-turning suspense. I was never quite sure if or when something bad was going to happen. I love that in a book. Of course, the addition of Ian, the Christian Cowboy Doctor Hunk, was just the type of hero every woman dreams of. Great job Brenda. I plan on passing it around to the ladies of Crossroads Baptist church!

good debut novel

Lilly Tanner returned to Oklahoma, but it wasn't from choice. She's running scared. Her sister is in prison and Lilly has custody of Shelby, her young niece. I've discovered a new favorite writer as I've read The Strongest Cord. Lilly Tanner is a strong woman with a strong sense of responsibility, and she likes to take care of herself. When she's forced to return to her childhood home to hide herself and her young niece from a dangerous man, she discovers that she has returned not only to a town in Oklahoma, but to a place in her heart she's never been able to forget--and to a man, Ian Hunt, who has never been far from her heart. Brenda Minton knows romance, her timing is perfect, her character interaction is strong. She infuses her writing with a little something extra--deep insight into the human psyche.
