After my father had a stroke, we got little help from doctors and nurses about what to do. They saved him, but we wanted to know more about what to expect. My mother and I found this book a great resource to learn about what happened and what we could look forward to...both negative and positive. It is written by two women, one is the stroke survivor and one is the caregiver. They have first hand experience with great advice about how to care for a stroke survivor. The Stroke Book provides website resources and suggestions on how to cope with inspiring stories that give both the caregiver and stroke survivor hope and encouragement. Definitely a must read in order to be more informed and ready to help your loved one.
