Dr. Bolles' "The Story of Psychology" is, by far, the best read on the history and state of the academic discipline of psychology that I have come across. It is unfortunate that this book is not in print and that the few copies available are cost-prohibitive to students. I reference Dr. Bolles' text in all of my courses from Introduction to Psych. to History & Systems of Psych. If this book were available in mass, I would require it for all of my courses.
