An often sad yet lovely book

I was assigned to read this book as part of my secondary school education, and though I wasn't taken by it at first, I eventually did. Zaynab Alkali's The Stillborn is a novel that takes the reader not only into the lives of three Nigerian women but it also have a universal theme in its locality which is simply that life often doesn't turn out the way we want and in the end it is how we face it that counts. I highly recommend this novel.
