Not really my cup of Tea

I love the idea of the books, and the background lore is pretty interesting. But I don't really resonate with the main character. She feels kind of one dimensional, and really leans into the "chosen one" mentality. Plus, with all the special treatment, she really doesn't do a whole lot through the book of her own ability. She's handed almost everything in the book, and it's not interesting to me. I don't think I will continue the series after this first book. If you like the whole "I'm a badass but I'm going to not use any of my abilities, and rely on the special treatment I am getting", then this book is for you. Also, it gives the feeling of "Fated Mates", without it actually being fated mates. I tried, but this book isn't for me.

The book I ordered was not the one I received.

The listing I ordered from said Special Edition, but the book I received was a Standard Edition and also a library book. I already had the Special Edition version of the second book in this series and wanted the first book to match. While it is in very good condition I wouldn't have paid $16.00 for a library book so I am slightly disappointed.

Stars are dying is one of my favorite books.

I really enjoyed this book. Can't wait for book 2 in January. Hope you get it and enjoy as much as I did.
