Centuries ago, warriors of feudal Japan wrote of duty, discipline, and death. Not to teach men how to fight, but how to live. The wisdom holds over many fields of battle.
The Sober Samurai is organized into twelve disciplines: Awakening, The Enemy, The Mind, Discipline, Desire, Courage, Humility, Honor, Failure and Return, Fellowship and Service, Peace, and Freedom.
Each of its 156 days is a short teaching in the voice of the warrior, followed by a brief meditation drawn from its spirit.
"The first victory is admitting the battlefield exists."
"Shame says hide. Wisdom says step into the light."
"The last victory is becoming gentle without becoming weak."
For the warrior rebuilding their life.
