Nancy Drew and her friends putting on their sleuthing caps to uncover a snow sculpture saboteur in this sixty-third entry in the early chapter book series. It's winter break, and Nancy, George, and Bess can hardly wait for Sunday. That's the day of the big snow festival in town. This year, the girls are entering the snow sculpture contest. They already know what they are making: swans from the ballet Swan Lake Nancy and her friends only have three days to make the most fantastic sculptures they can. But when someone begins wrecking their creations each night, the girls worry that they'll never finish in time. Will Nancy and her friends put the freeze on this sneak in the snow, or will their chances of winning the competition melt away?
The big snow festival is on in River Heights, and Nancy, Bess and George are going to create the most fantastic snow sculptures in a big competition. After discussing lots of ideas, they decide on a theme of Swan Lake. It sure was their own original plan, but they've been accused of stealing it! Now their best efforts are being trashed every night, and it seems like they'll never be able to complete their entry in time for the judging. It's time for Nancy Drew to get out her trusty blue notebook and examine every clue before all is lost. The Snowman Surprise is a fun read for young mystery fans, and is sure to stimulate further adventures in literature.

I am transcribing the following for my 8 year old daughter...... This is my third of the Nancy Drew Notebooks. This particular story is not totally awesome, but still worth reading. I had it figured out before the end. If you like ballet, you will certainly like this book. Who is ruining the girls' Swan Lake snow sculpture? You'll find out by reading this book.
