Fourteen-year-old Nate Thompson has just survived one trauma - the loss of his family in a tragic plane crash. There he learns that a black-market ring is operating out of the old hospital, and its leader is someone he never would have expected.Eavesdropping on a conversation between some of the goons, Nate discovers that the gang is trafficking in three commodities -- and shipments are scheduled to arrive the following weekend. Hiding inside the hospitals duct work, Nate is able to get a birds-eye view of the whole operation. Some of the items are stored in the warehouse, others in the cooler, and the rest in holding cells below the sanitariums basement.Nate plans a rescue attempt but is caught.
