The Secret Value of Gladness

It was the year 1999.

I had received a glorious encounter with Him Who Was the

Same from the Beginning-the Eternal One, the Aleph and the

Tav, the Alpha and the Omega, the unchanging I AM. What I

witnessed in that encounter defies the capacity of human language,

yet I must bear witness, for the gladness that burns in these pages

was kindled in that moment and has never been extinguished.

A Mighty Covenant Angel appeared-all dressed in a myriad

of all-ready, all-living, all-powerful, all-faithful creative beings of

life and joy. He was not a single being but a living tapestry of the

creative order-every fibre of His garment pulsating with the

life-force of beings who had never known death, never tasted

sorrow, never experienced the absence of gladness. They were

beings of pure ■■■■■ (simchah)-fire-flow gladness as their

native atmosphere-and their joy was so concentrated, so tangible,

so overwhelming that it rewrote the molecular structure of my

understanding. I was undone. I was remade. I was glad with a

gladness I had never known existed.

And He spoke. His voice carried the authority of every

covenant God had ever made with humanity-from Adam to Noah,

from Abraham to Moses, from David to the New Covenant sealedTHE SECRET VALUE OF GLADNESS

in blood at Calvary. He said:

'I am now returning to My people-

both Israel Natural (the Jews) and Israel Spiritual (the

Gentiles).

To make a New Creation:

the Supernatural, Supervisible Creation.'

I am still basking in that Presence till now. Twenty-seven years

later, the fire has not dimmed. The gladness has not diminished.

The encounter was not a moment-it was an installation.

Something was permanently deposited in me that day: the

knowledge that the Great Pillar of Fire must dwell in the adopted

people of God today-the people called after two days, as the

prophet Hosea declared.

The Two-Day Prophecy: Hosea 6:1-3

"Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath

torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will

bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third

day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD:

his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall

come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain

unto the earth."
