The book opens up to the threat the town of Mayendale faces; a three headed beast scheduled to attack for an hour every night. It is said that the beast was created a century ago to protect the town's people from an unknown evilness, but that same evilness captivated the beast and turned it into a hallowing presence. Anna Bel James, a 17-year-old girl loses her sister to this beast. One day, she visits the forest to recollect the memories of her late sister because it was their childhood spot to play. Anna finds a lonesome cabin in which she enters to find a sword room inside. Burying all her doubt's away, she asks the owner of the cabin, Greg, to train her to fight the beast with the swords. But Greg is a peculiar man who withholds crucial secrets from Anna. They become intimate with one another and grow into an aphrodisiac romance. When Anna defeats the beast, she gets injected by the evilness. Anna must go on a near to insurmountable mission in finding the mastermind of the depravity; the creator of the evilness. Anna makes one simple mistake. A mistake in which she will regret for the rest of her life.
