May 16, 1968, The USS Scorpion stopped at Naval Station Rota in Spain. Two men come ashore for medical emergencies, leaving the other 99 sailors to continue the journey East and return to base at Suda Bay in Crete.

These two men are the only survivors.

Dec 12, 1979 The USS Sargo limps into Pearl Harbor having suffered a catastrophic nuclear leak which goes on to kill more than half of her crew and hundreds of unsuspecting locals.
