The late 1970s; after an argument with his parents, teenager Pete Whitehouse moves into a squat where he takes whatever drugs he can get his hands on. Almost by accident, he becomes a dealer and can afford to indulge in his beloved psychedelics; LSD and magic mushrooms, along with his habitual cannabis and amphetamines. In a world of hippies, bikers, punks and Rastafarians, his adventures take him from Stonehenge free festival and psilocybin picking in Wales to dope farmers in Morocco and acid dealers in Amsterdam. Business blossoms when he discovers a top-class cocaine supplier from Brazil and an investment banker who sells counterfeit money half price. Pete is a successful, wealthy young man, the only downside to his business is it's illegal and the Drug Squad are never far behind him.
