Not many great gardening books out there, but this is one!

This isn't a good book - this is a GREAT book - OUTSTANDING - and there aren't that many great gardening books out there, especially salad gardens. OUTSTANDING illustrations photos and explanations. The chat on chickories is long and thorough. A full explanation of self-blanching vs. not celery - written in 1984 - seems just off the presses. The author is active and she has new books coming out.

Great book, I think

Lots of pictures of different types of salad greens and recipes for potato salad, an interesting and useful book I can recommend highly. Unfortunately the copy I got smells strongly of printing ink, so unpleasant I don't like to read it. If it didn't, maybe it would get another star...
