She thought she knew the rules of love. Turns out, love makes its own. The perfect match can't be far--certainly not at a Regency-themed singles' retreat--or so podcaster Zoe Dufour believes. After... This description may be from another edition of this product.
From the start, this book had me rooting for Zoe and Harrison. If only Zoe would get out of her own way and Harrison would muster up the courage to share his true feelings. Zoe gets help with her podcast from her BFF and his brother, and the journey to share her love journey takes her to a Regency inspired retreat. Being a huge fan of Jane Austen and all things Regency Era, Zoe is hopeful that she will meet her "Mr. Darcy" there. I enjoyed this book. I appreciate that there was no foul language or steamy romance scenes making it appropriate for anyone interested in the theme. Not being too familiar with the Regency Era, I did find myself needing to look up the word cravats and didn't understand a reference or two to some of the book/movie characters referenced that true Regency fans would know, but that did not take away from my enjoyment of the book. It had a good balance of romance and comedy- just what I like! I could also relate to the fact that Zoe can often find herself in a pickle and appreciated the realness of the characters- flaws and all.
