The Renovation Clause: An Inside the Perimeter Novel
Andre Sutton has a plan for Juniper House.
Every original detail has been documented. Every restoration decision has been considered. And as the preservation architect responsible for bringing the neglected Atlanta property back to life, Andre intends to make sure the renovation is done correctly.
Then Cole Harris opens a wall.
Cole is the general contractor Andre never would have chosen for himself: practical, infuriatingly adaptable, and entirely too comfortable making decisions when reality refuses to cooperate with Andre's drawings.
Unfortunately, Cole is also very good at his job.
When hidden structural damage threatens the project, replacing either man would put the entire renovation at risk. So Andre and Cole are forced to do the one thing neither particularly wants to do.
Work together.
Late nights at Juniper House turn arguments into collaboration. Collaboration becomes respect. And respect becomes something considerably harder to keep professional.
Soon they're solving century-old construction problems, leaving toothbrushes at each other's houses, and discovering that the line between professional partnership and something much more permanent disappeared somewhere along the way.
But when a preservation decision puts Andre's instincts directly against Cole's judgment, attraction isn't enough. Because Cole doesn't need Andre to agree with him.
He needs Andre to trust him.
And Andre is about to discover that preserving something worth keeping doesn't always mean refusing to let it change.
The Renovation Clause is a witty, grown-up MM contemporary romance featuring professional rivals, forced proximity, competence attraction, sharp banter, an old Atlanta house with opinions of its own, and two stubborn men learning that the best partnerships aren't always built according to plan.
An interconnected standalone in the Inside the Perimeter series with a complete happily ever after.
