They were not Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel, and Junior Marvel but without these three heroic half-aliens Israel could have been wiped off the map forever.The father was Calev, the daughter was Achsah, and her husband was Othniel. The latter two just happened to come along at a time when the threat to Israel's very survival was never graver; the response of these engineers was probably as creative and heroic as that of Archimedes; but there were no writers around in their generation with the skill or imagination capable of telling their story. The comic book has yet to be written to do them justice but meanwhile we can revisit their era and also try to cast some light on how their forebears ended up among us on earth.
